about me…

I am a freelance Interior Stylist and Writer with over 15 years experience working for some of the UK’s leading interiors magazines and brands. I have been responsible for arranging stunning shoots across a wide spectrum of ideas, styles and designs, together with sourcing and compiling interesting, relevant and informative features. I have styled everything from large room sets for decorating stories, ads and catalogues to real homes and beautiful outdoor dining features. I even got a poodle to pose on a pouffe! As well as the big stuff I love creating the perfect detail shot, wether it’s a gorgeous arrangement of flowers or the perfect pile of beautifully wrapped Christmas presents.

The practical bit

As well as coming up with imaginative and inspiring shoot ideas, and sourcing all the right props, I also have a wealth of experience booking locations, commissioning photographers, set builders and seamstresses… and doing all this within budget. I regularly organise shoots within the UK and have also produced and styled shoots both in France and Cape Town. I love all the challenges that working on location brings.

Background

I come from a very visual background having studied Textile Art at Winchester School of Art. This highly creative degree course has definitely helped me in my work as a stylist and composing the perfect image. It also equipped me with many practical skills that are now invaluable when working on projects for clients.
